Frequently Asked Questions
Wattix is Dutch simulation software for installers, energy consultants and energy partners. You load your client's 15-minute interval data, or use a standard profile. You then set up scenarios with batteries, solar panels, charge points and contracts, and compare the outcomes side by side within the limits of the grid connection. You share the results with your client as a report.
You upload your client's metering data from a spreadsheet (Excel or CSV). Wattix works with consumption data and with generation data. If your client has no metering data yet, for example for a new building or an expansion, you build a profile in the Data Studio for the assets being added.
Most simulations are ready within a few minutes. For each scenario you see straight away whether it fits technically within the connection and what it means financially, so you can discuss the outcome with your client in the same conversation.
Yes. Automatic battery sizing calculates the power and capacity needed to stay within the limits of the connection. You can also compare different battery sizes side by side yourself and see the effect of each on the grid connection.
Batteries, solar panels, electric vehicle charge points and more. You combine them in one simulation, so you see how they affect each other within the same connection. New assets are added regularly.
Wattix offers different pricing models depending on your needs. Contact us for a tailored quote that fits your organisation and how often you use Wattix.
You can request a free demo. We show you how the platform works and help you set up your first simulation. You can then choose a monthly cancellable subscription.

Wattix calculates on 15-minute interval data, so the peaks that disappear in hourly or yearly averages count too. How accurate the outcome is depends mostly on the quality of the metering data you put in. Installers and consultants use the results to back up their clients' real investment decisions.
Your clients' energy data is stored securely and processed in line with the GDPR. We never share data with third parties, and you stay in control of your information. We delete the data on request.
Yes. Wattix shows the moments when consumption exceeds the limits of the grid connection and how large those peaks are. You then simulate how, for example, a battery or a different contract keeps consumption within those limits.
Yes. You enter different tariff structures, such as off-peak and peak rates and dynamic tariffs. For each scenario you then see what a choice really costs or earns your client.
Yes. You turn your simulation into a report and share it as a PDF with your client or other stakeholders. The simulation results themselves export as a CSV file.
We help you by email and through online documentation. Larger organisations can also get personal guidance when setting up complex simulations.
Yes. Within your organisation you share projects and scenarios with colleagues and work together on the same projects in the platform.
For the best experience we recommend a recent version of Chrome.
Yes. You upload your client's historical metering data and base the scenarios on their actual consumption pattern instead of an average profile.
Wattix gets new features and improvements regularly. Updates happen automatically and we keep you informed of what's new.
Yes. You create simulations for different locations and compare them. That helps when you advise clients with several sites, or when, as an energy partner, you want to work through dozens of connections the same way.
That depends on the package you choose. We offer flexible contracts, from a few months to multi-year agreements at a lower rate.
